We have exciting news about our June 2011 Mission to Uganda!
We will be gathering 2000 children from the Kampala region for a two day Children’s Crusade, sharing the Gospel with these precious children through song, drama, outdoor games, and Bible teaching.
The Crusade will be held on the grounds of the Ntinda School for the Deaf. In Uganda, deaf children are outcasts of society and by letting them “host” the crusade, they are made to feel very special. These children are embraced by the love and acceptance of Jesus. Some of the songs will be presented with sign language.
In previous years, our team has brought gifts of school supplies and tooth brushes, etc., but this year, we plan to go a step further with a gift of “family-sized” treated mosquito nets to help protect Ugandan families from malaria.
Can we count on you to help with this project?
The cost is only $6.00 per net; or, for 2,000 nets, a cost of $12,000. This may seem ambitious, but I am happy to report that His Nets, Inc., has pledged to match our donations dollar for dollar! If we buy a thousand nets, they will match them with another thousand.
